HASKELL WEXLER to discuss his documentary work

The Academy-Award winning cinematographer and director Haskell Wexler will be discussing and screening his documentary work this Thursday, Feb. 16th at convo hour in Mayer Theater. Wexler has directed and/or shot 26 documentaries in a career that has spanned six decades. Some of his documentary credits include acclaimed films such as The Living City, The Bus and Who Needs Sleep? Wexler is also well known for winning two Academy Awards for the films Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Bound for Glory and an Emmy for cinematography and directing the seminal late Sixties film Medium Cool. He was judged one of the ten most influential cinematographers in history, according to a survey of the members of the International Cinematographers Guild.
